On enrolment in the Award, the Record Book is issued to the participant by the Operating Authority. Beginning from the date of issue activities can count for an Award.

The Record Book forms a record of progress and outcomes through the Award, verified by individuals who have carried out the review and assessment in each Section. It represents the experiences and achievements of a young person and remarks by Assessors should relate to the individual and be positive and encouraging.

The Record Book consits of four different elements:

Record Book Folder, available through the Online Award Shop;

Information sheets and worksheets, to be downloaded from the Intranet: Version 3.0.0, 14.04.2012

Records in the Electronic Record Book as a part of the Online Award Administration System;

Certificates to be printed from the Online Award Administration System.

Each Record Book Folder has a serial number that is assigned to the Operating Authority. For orders of Badges and Certificates, this number must be indicated.
