General
The Participants Logbook (www.jugendprogramm.de/logbook) can be used as a Record Book. The conditions are:
The Logbook Folder is ordered from the Online Shop (www.jugendprogramm.de/shop) specifically as a Record Book (dedicated item in the AwardShop).
The participant's data sheet includes the Record Book's number given by the National Award Office.
The general guidelines for Record Books (c.f. Award Basics and Leaders Manual) are met. In particular, participants must receive the Logbook Folder before starting with any activities, and the participant's data sheet must be duly completed.
Switching to the Participants' Logbook as a Record Book is possible at the start of each level.
Inlay Sheets
Participants Logbooks ordered as Record Books include the following inlay sheets:
Participant's data sheet with Record Book's number
Instructions for Award Leaders.
Any other needed sheets can be found in the PDF document of the Participants Logbook (c.f. link).
Certificates
The following certificates must be used for each level of the Award (Combined Certificates are optional):
Expedition Training
Expedition Report
Sectional Certificate for each section
Combined Certificate.
As with the “normal” Record Book, the Training Certificate in the Expedition section certifies the participant's sufficient preparation for the Qualifying Venture with legally binding effect. For the Qualifying Venture, the Combined Certificate is used.
The responsibilities for the different certificates also stay the same:
Expedition Training: Trainer or Award Leader
Expedition Report: Trainer, Supervisor or Assessor who received the report
Bronze and Silver: Sectional Certificate – Assessor for the activity
Bronze and Silver: Combined Certificate – Award Co-ordinator
Gold: Sectional Certificate – Assessor for the activity
Gold: Combined Certificate – German National Award Office.
The Award Leader must copy the Record Book's number into the Combined Certificates. Photocopies of these can be used as proof when ordering Awards and Certificates at the Bronze and Silver levels. At the Gold level, copies of the Sectional Certificates must be submitted.
The certificates are best printed out using a colour printer on good quality paper; especially with the Sectional Certificates, though, a black and white printer should be sufficient, as well.
